Foggy's Cafe in Charleston, just off Cape Arago Highway, feels very much like a gathering place for locals who value wholesome, thoughtfully prepared food alongside good coffee. Situated in a fishing village setting, the cafe mixes a maritime charm with a casual, welcoming vibe that draws in hikers, families, and regulars looking for a relaxed spot to refuel.

Morning visits here tend to suit those wanting a solid breakfast or brunch with clean, nutritious options. The menu leans into fresh, hearty dishes like frittatas, avocado toast with vibrant smoothie pairings, and oatmeal bowls that highlight local ingredients and mindful preparation. Expect your latte—or for something a bit different, the Vanilla or Golden Milk Latte—to be carefully crafted with smooth, balanced flavors. If you're popping in after a long coastal hike, it's the kind of spot that replenishes both energy and spirits without fuss.

The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, encouraged by the open kindness of the staff and the owners, making it easy to feel at ease whether you’re solo, with friends, or your "tramily" (trail family). The space showcases local maritime-themed artwork and occasionally fills with live jazz from visiting musicians, adding a warm texture that fits the local arts scene.

Foggy's is particularly fitting for those who appreciate intentions behind food choices—gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options are clearly marked, showing a nod to diverse diets and wellness. Locals come here not just for the food but for connection, whether they're winding down from outdoor adventures or catching up over coffee and good conversation.

The best time to stop by is late morning to early afternoon, when natural light brightens the space and the pace feels just right for a longer linger, perhaps with a game of Pacman on hand or a moment to savor the friendly rhythm of a small coastal town morning.

I can't say enough good things about Foggy's Cafe! The owner, Bonnie, and her husband are incredibly kind and warm and welcoming. The food is out of world good! Hearty, healthy, and SOOOOO tasty! This cafe is hiker friendly, so bring your tramily! After hiking the full Oregon Coast Trail, this is hands down, my favorite cafe stop I accidentally found myself at. And there's a Pac-man game in the back corner! Don't miss it! So fun!

Such intentional and nutritional food yes comforting, filling and delicious! local food sources, labeled with vegan, gluten free, and dairy free. Buddha bowl and fire, today’s carrot ginger soup- delicious, and gluten free cookies so good and unexpected. Sydney was so welcoming, helpful and kind. You can tell the locals know & appreciate Sydney and the cooks Sydney sets the calming and cheerful atmosphere. Amazing spot, wish my travels bring me back to enjoy again.

Not out of your way, no matter the distance. SO WORTH IT. Such amazing food and all the staff have that authentic type of gleam in their eyes. Felt like family. Those pancakes are so old school perfection; thank you Foggy's for reminding me how nourishing real food can be. I wish you were closer to home but will be traveling to see you and delight in an epic meal soon enough. May all your wildest dreams come to fruition! Thank you!!!!

Amazing place. We had one issue with an under cooked griddle cake and they were so kind about replacing it and gave us a free energy cluster. Food was delicious and beautiful!

This place is so lovely. The food is fresh and healthy. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is way cool- it’s in the fishing village of Charleston, and the artwork reflects a maritime feel. Live music on Fridays (maybe more nights- ask) featuring jazz pianist and singer Madi Barrena. (SF cabaret singer transplanted to Coos Bay). Check it out!

Food was great a bit expensive, would definitely go again. Locally sourced, gluten free and vegan options. I got a Nori bowl and fiancée got Buddha bowl, super good. To drink I had a Vanilla late, and she had Sunshine smoothie, smoothie was super yummy! Would go again and probably will next time we’re about Coos Bay.

When I found out that Foggy’s Café is owned by the same team behind the old Noster’s Kitchen, I was thrilled to give it a try—and spoiler alert: they did not disappoint. Their menu is packed with vegetarian options, and everything is absolutely delicious. I recently tried their Nori Rice Bowl and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. Foggy’s Café is definitely worth a stop, whether you’re visiting Charleston or heading out to the beach.
